With this site being launched only days away I figured it was time to add a little to this page. It's 7am, I'm running on Coffee so time for a quick time out and do this.
I haven't played Rising Force Online for any huge length of time, only a few months at the time of writing. However MMOs are nothing new to me. Played World of Warcraft from its European Release and still do from time to time. Before that I in the BETA for Project Entropia, which now goes by the name Entropia Universe. Before that, well there wasn't really much in the way of MMOs then except for your basic MUDs or Browser based games.
To cut a long story short, after starting Rising Force Online there was many a time I would be after information on something, maybe the materials for making an Excelsior, or like many a newbie that’s just started out, trying to figure out just what the hell Rare Ore is for.
The lack of information I found very frustrating. While a few bits and pieces could be found scattered around, there was no large reference like with many other games. My looking around took me to RF-Online-Wiki. I added bits here and there but the site was overrun with spam bots and the Admin, well he was for all intents and purposes not interested.
It was there that i met Ghost, we tried to clean the place up. But in the end we became disillusioned knowing we couldn’t change what we needed to and that we were just helping someone who didn’t care nor look after the site line make some coin. So we started this site instead. Taking what we learned, what we wanted to do and made Rising Force Wiki.
What exactly do I do here?
Most of my time is spent working on Wiki Related stuff. From working on the icon set for the site (A tedious task to say the least) to writing articles, dealing with user problems. If you have any problems directly related to the Wiki and not the RFDB then I'm the guy to talk to.
